The Scottsdale Community College Volleyball team came through with a nice win to open up their run in the Region 1 Division II Playoffs. The Fighting Artichokes are the overall #1 seed and are hosting the tournament as they faced off with the #4 seed South Mountain Community College. Scottsdale earned the 3-0 sweep over SMCC by the final scores of 25-17, 25-19, and 25-14. This allows the Artichokes to advance in the double-elimination tournament and they will take on Glendale Community College on Friday at 2:00 PM. The tournament format is as follows:

Day One - Thursday, November 3rd

Match 1: #3 Glendale defeats #2 Chandler-Gilbert

Match 2: #1 Scottsdale defeats #4 South Mountain

Day Two - Friday, November 4th

Match 3: South Mountain vs. Chandler-Gilbert, 11:00 AM

Match 4: Scottsdale vs. Glendale, 2:00 PM

Match 5: M3 winner vs. M4 loser, 7:00 PM

Day Three (Championship) - Saturday, November 5th

Match 6: M5 winner vs. M4 winner, 4:00 PM

Match 7 (If Necessary): 7:00 PM
