The Scottsdale Community College Volleyball is headed back to the National Tournament as they won the Region 1 Division II Championship over Glendale Community College. Scottsdale came into the day needing to beat GCC two times in a row due to the double-elimination tournament format. Scottsdale won the first match in 5 sets and once again beat GCC in 4 sets later in the evening. Shauna Rath was named Region 1 MVP, while Head Coach Regina Mannix was named NJCAA West District Coach of the Year. Scottsdale will now wait for the tournament seeding and will head off to Cedar Rapids, IA for the NJCAA Division II National Tournament held November 18th-20th at Alliant Energy PowerHouse Arena.
