The 10th ranked Scottsdale Community College Women's Soccer team came through with a nice homme conference win over Arizona Western College by the final score of 4-2. SCC jumped out to an early lead with a goal by Emma Green in the 3rd minute of the match that was assisted by Marissa Guevara. AWC would tie the match in the 7th minute, but Green and Guevara linked up again in the 17th minute to push the score to 2-1. Late in the first half, Queensland Goff would score in the 38th minute to move the score to 3-1, but Arizona Western countered and scored just before the half with the score talley being 3-2 in favor of the Artichokes. SCC and AWC would battle back and forth for the majority of the second half, but in the 87th minute Abby Becerra was able to put the match out of reach as she was assisted by Guevara. Scottsdale will be back in action this Saturday as they host Phoenix College at 5:30 PM.
