The Scottsdale Community College men's basketball team saw their 2022-23 campaign come to an end, falling 91-84 to Arkansas State University Mid South in the Consolation Bracket of the 2023 NJCAA Division II National Championships in Danville, Ill.
The Artichokes end the season with a record of 25-9.
ASU Mid South jumped out quickly, leading 16-4 seven minutes into the opening half. They would continue to build on that lead and opened a 20-point advantage at half, 46-26.
Scottsdale got down by as many as 25 in the second half before mounting a rally that saw them get as close as 5, while outscoring ASU Mid South 58-45 in the half.
Isaiah Floyd and Cameron Faas led the Artichokes with 16 points each. Tyree Tyler had 8 points and team-high 12 rebounds.
