The Scottsdale Community College Men's Basketball team got things moving in the right direction this past week with 3 wins at the Phoenix College Holiday Classic. Scottsdale 1st took on Bella Vista Post Grad and picked up a 102-54 win. Scottsdale had 6 different players score in double-figures that game including Unisa Turay (19), Braxton Hiat (14), Carson Kelly (14), Tanner Poeschl (14), Tyree Tyler (12), and Cameron Faas (10). Game 2 of the classic was more of the same with SCC taking on Ascending Life Academy Post Grad. Scottsdale would cruise to a 123-50 win with Poeschl leading the way with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Faas would chip in 18 points, while Hiatt came through with 16 points and 5 rebounds off the bench. In game 3 of the classic, Scottsdale kept their foot on the gas taking on Community Christian College. SCC would take down CCC by the final score of 136-71. Scottsdale was led by Isaiah Floyd who would finish the game with 28 points on only 13 total shots. Cash Scott would chip in 10 points and 5 assists off the bench in the contest. Scottsdale now moves to (9-4, 1-4) on the season with the three wins. Scottsdale will next host Phoenix College on Wednesday, January 4th at 5:30 PM, then will host Yavapai College on Saturday, January 7th at 2:00 PM.
