Pima pulls away to defeat Scottsdale
The Scottsdale men's basketball team fell 82-68 to undefeated, fourth-ranked Pima on Saturday at SCC.
With the loss, Scottsdale drops to 12–12 overall and 6–7 in league play, remaining in fourth place—half a game ahead of Mesa.
The Aztecs and Artichokes were tied 30–30 at halftime before Pima pulled away in the second half, scoring 52 points after the break.
Scottsdale shot 48.1% from the floor, outpacing Pima's 45.2% effort. The Aztecs controlled the glass with a 39–24 rebounding advantage.
Bryce Anderson led SCC with 18 points on 6-for-9 shooting and added a team-high six rebounds. Davion Harris also contributed efficiently, scoring 14 points on 6-for-7 shooting.
Scottsdale will travel to Mesa for a critical conference matchup on Saturday, February 14. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
