Scottsdale Completes Season Sweep of CGCC

Scottsdale softball this evening swept Chandler-Gilbert in a doubleheader at CGCC.

SCC is now 28-17 overall and 23-17 in the league. The Artichokes went 6-0 against the Coyotes this season.

Scottsdale won the opening game 4-2 behind Isabelle Aguirre's (9-7) complete game. She allowed two runs on 10 hits across the 7.0 innings. Leah Montes and Bailey Nichols each had two hits. Montes and Sydnee Levandowski homered.

SCC took game two 11-2 in six innings. Kailyn Montoya pitched a complete game, going 6.0 innings, allowing two runs on five hits. SCC pounded out 14 hits, three each from Kim Hernandez and Levandowski. Hernandez also had three RBI and two runs scored. Levandowski scored three runs.

The Artichokes will close out the regular season on May 3 when they visit Phoenix. First pitch of that doubleheader is 12 p.m. PC, who is ranked #5 in the NJCAA, will be hosting the NJCAA Region 1 playoffs from May 8-10. PC as the No. 1 seed in the Region playoffs will host No. 4 Scottsdale in the opening game for both on Thursday, May 8.
