
Pima Defeats #6 Volleyball in Tucson
The #6 Scottsdale women's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Pima tonight in Tucson in the final regular season contest of the year.
Scottsdale closes out the regular season with a 17-4 overall record and 14-4 in the conference.
Scottsdale won the opening set tonight 25-19, but saw Pima take the next three 23-25, 22-25, 19-25.
Scottsdale has earned the No. 2 seed in the NJCAA Region I Division II playoffs. Glendale will be the top seed and serve as the tournament host. Pima will be the No. 3 seed and will be SCC's opening round opponent. Mesa will be the No. 4 seed.
The Artichokes and Aztecs will open tournament play on Thursday, November 7 at 4 p.m. Glendale and Mesa will play at 7 p.m. A tournament preview will be posted next week.
