The Scottsdale women's soccer team used a seven-goal second half to defeat Glendale 8-1 tonight at SCC.

The Artichokes are now 8-2-1 overall and 8-2 in the league.

Elizabeth Wheeler led Scottsdale tonight with three goals. Wheeler has nine this season. Sandra Lakic had two goals, while Samantha Battles, Yaritza Marie Duncan and Raegan Hussey each added one.  

The win was SCC's eighth in a row in a week that saw them move up to No. 7 in the latest NJCAA Division II national poll.

Scottsdale will next face Chandler-Gilbert on Saturday, October 12 at CGCC. The match will begin at 8 p.m. SCC beat the Coyotes 6-1 earlier this season.
