#9 Women's Soccer Takes Down #3 Phoenix
The #9 Scottsdale women's soccer team knocked off #3 Phoenix College 1-0 tonight at PC.
The win improves Scottsdale's record to 7-2-1 overall and 7-2 in the ACCAC. It was the seventh-straight win for SCC.
After a scoreless opening half, SCC would score the lone goal on the foot of Mia Loher in the 62nd minute. It was the eighth goal of the season for Loher. Kaydence Manning had the clean sheet for the Artichokes.
Phoenix recorded eight shots on goal compared to Scottsdale's five.
Also, last week saw Shayla Hunt honored as the ACCAC Division II Player of the Week for week five. Hunt scored the game winning goal to help SCC beat Pima 2-1 last week.
Scottsdale will return home Tuesday, October 8 for a matchup with Glendale at 8 p.m.
