#12 Women's Soccer Defeats #10 Pima
The #12 Scottsdale women's soccer team picked up a big win tonight, downing #10 Pima 2-1 in Tucson.
The win improves SCC to 6-2-1 overall and 6-2 in conference. It was their sixth-straight win. Pima earlier defeated SCC back on August 31, 2-1.
Mia Loher scored in the 22nd minute to put the Artichokes up 1-0. It was her seventh goal this season. Shayla Hunt doubled the lead with a goal in the 54th minute.
Pima closed the gap to 2-1 with a late goal in the 78th minute. They would press in the final moments, but the Artichoke defense stood tall to preserve the win.
Scottsdale will be off until Saturday, October 5 when they will travel to Phoenix College to face the #3 Bears. The match will begin at 8 p.m. PC defeated SCC 1-0 on August 31.
