Men's Soccer Comes Up Short at Glendale

The Scottsdale men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to Glendale tonight in the Artichokes' first road match of the season.

With the loss, SCC falls to 0-3.

The two sides played to a scoreless draw in the opening half. The Gauchos would open the scoring with a penalty kick goal in the 67th minute. GCC would double their lead just five minutes later for a 2-0 advantage.

The Artichokes got to within one with a late goal in the 89th minute from Huston Harper, but were unable to find the equalizer before the final whistle.

Both finished with six shots on goal.

SCC returns home this Saturday, September 7 at 6 p.m. when they host Chandler-Gilbert.
