The Scottsdale softball team saw its season come to an end this afternoon, falling 5-0 to South Mountain at the NJCAA Region I Division II Tournament, hosted by Phoenix College.

The game was scoreless through three innings before the Cougars scored a run in the bottom of the fourth inning. They would add another run in the fifth and tallied three more on a three-run home run in the sixth.

Adriana Armstrong started on the mound for SCC.

Scottsdale closes out the season with a 20-28 overall record.
