The Scottsdale Community College Volleyball program fought hard and are now the Region 1 Division II Champions. Scottsdale came out to a great start in the match against Glendale Community College and took the 1st set by the score of 25-17. GCC bounced back and took sets 2 and 3 by the scores of 25-20 and 25-21. The Artichokes dug deep and found a way to  win set 4 by the score of 25-17 to push the match to the 5th and championship deciding set. SCC and GCC would trade points back and fourth, but Scottsdale would come out on top by the final score of 15-13. This win grants the Artichokes an automatic bid to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament held in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Scottsdale will be representing Region 1 and the West District. During the tournament Savannah Davis was named MVP of the tournament for her stellar play all weekend. The NJCAA Division II National Tournament will run from November 17th-19th.
