The Scottsdale Community College Volleyball program was upset in the Region 1 Division II Playoffs this afternoon as they took on Glendale Community College. Scottsdale got off to a great start taking the first set by the score of 25-20, but the Gauchos would come back strong and take sets two and three by the scores of 25-21 and 25-22. The Artichokes would battle back to take set four by the score of 25-23, but would fall in the fifth and final set by the score of 16-14. This is the first loss of the tournament for the Artichokes and they will now take on Chandler-Gilbert today at 7:00 PM. The winner of the match will move on to the championship round tomorrow that begins at 4:00 PM. The current tournament results are as follows:

Day One - Thursday, November 3rd

Match 1: #3 Glendale defeats #2 Chandler-Gilbert

Match 2: #1 Scottsdale defeats #4 South Mountain

Day Two - Friday, November 4th

Match 3: Chandler-Gilbert defeats South Mountain

Match 4: Glendale defeats Scottsdale 

Match 5: Chandler-Gilbert vs. Scottsdale, 7:00 PM

Day Three (Championship) - Saturday, November 5th

Match 6: M5 winner vs. Glendale, 4:00 PM

Match 7 (If Necessary): 7:00 PM
