The Scottsdale Community College Women's Basketball team came up short on Saturday afternoon when they went on the road to take on NJCAA D1 Arizona Western College. Scottsdale got down 24-11 at the end of the first quarter, but continued to battle throughout the game. SCC would make the lead an 8 point point midway through the  3rd quarter, but ran out of gas and eventually fell by the final score of 78-37. Monique Shim paced the Artichokes with 14 points off the bench. This loss moves Scottsdale to (13-6, 8-5) overall on the season with two big home match-ups coming this week. Scottsdale will host NJCAA D2 #12 Pima Community College on Wednesday at 7:30 PM, then SCC will host NJCAA D1 #9 Eastern Arizona College on Saturday at 4:00 PM.
