Summary: We took it out aggressively. Wais went to the lead and attempted an early steal of the race. At one point the Artichokes held the 1-2 spots with Wais and Zane leading the pack. It wasn't until near 2 miles that the pack was able to catch Wais. Because of an early aggressive start he found a bumby ride in the middle of the race but was able to piece things together toward the end of the race.
The team was on a test mission so I am very pleased: for the most part they all did their jobs. I remain optimistic as the season continues.

Summary: The women had similar missions to the men. Kendra took the lead early and held it for the better part of 3/4 of a mile. Early in the race, Kendra and Lynatara shared the point position. the aggressive start would later tax both Lynatra and Kendra, but they saw something different and learned something new.
