The Scottsdale Community College Golf team finished in 7th place after day 1 of the Glendale Community College Invitational.

The Fighting Artichokes were led today by Matthew Creighton (SO/Des Moines, IA) who finished the day with a 77. Alex Kling (FR/Scottsdale, AZ) came through with a 80 on the day, while Sam Nelson (FR/Scottsdale, AZ) finished with a 83. Rayce Mathews (FR/Payson, AZ) rounded out the team score with a 85. Ryan Simpson (FR/Harpers Ferry, WV) shot a 97, and Morgan Boltz (FR/Clovis, CA) shot a 117. The final team score of 325 puts Scottsdale in 7th place as a team with room to get back to the middle of the pack with a strong showing tomorrow.
