The Scottsdale Community College Men's Golf team shot a team score of 318 after day 1 of their own tournament.

The Fighting Artichokes were led today by Matthew Creighton (SO/Des Moines, IA) who shot a 75 and currently is in 16th place in the individual scoring. Alex Kling (FR/Scottsdale, AZ) shot a 77 putting him at 22nd place, and Rayce Mathews (FR/Payson, AZ) shot an 81 to put him in 33rd overall. Sam Nelson (FR/Scottsdale, AZ) came through with a 85 (39th place), Ryan Simpson (FR/Harpers Ferry, WV) shot a 88 (43rd place), and Morgan Boltz (FR/Clovis, CA) shot a 123 (50th place). Scottsdale is currently 17 shots back from the 4th and 5th place teams and 41 shots back from the leaders. SCC will be back tomorrow at Hillcrest Golf Club for day 2 and final round of the Scottsdale CC Invitational.
