The Scottsdale Community College Men's Basketball team brought home the Region 1 Division II Championship with a 90-84 win over Glendale Community College. This championship also punches their ticket to go to the NJCAA DII National Tournament held in Danville, Illionis on March 15-19. The win was the first time in the Men's Basketball program's 52 year history to win a Region Championship. Scottsdale was led by Unisa Turay (tournament MVP) who finished the game with 27 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists. Carson Kelly had a big game as well going for 20 points and dishing out 10 assists. Cameron Faas and Dante Gonzales rounded out the double-digit scorers going for 14 points and 13 points. Scottsdale will have to wait until Tuesday, March 8th when the NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball bracket is announced at 12:00 PM Arizona time.
