All-ACCAC, Region I, baseball teams announced

The Scottsdale Community College Baseball team had two of their team members pick up awards for their stellar play during the regular season. Derek Baessler was named to the 1st-Team All-ACCAC team and 1st-Team All-Region 1 Division II. Baessler led the team in home-runs, was 2nd in hits and RBI's, and finished the season with a .329 batting average. Baessler also was great behind the plate getting the ACCAC nomination for Golden Glove award for his defense as a catcher for the Artichokes. Mike Kenney earned 1st-Team All-Region 1 Division II for Scottsdale after leading the team in leading the team in hits, 2nd in doubles, and closed out the year with a .367 batting average.
