Scottsdale Drops Home Game to South Mountain

The Scottsdale Community College Baseball team fell in a home conference game as they took on South Mountain Community College. Scottsdale raced out to a 3-0 lead after the 2nd inning, but SMCC managed to score 4 runs in the 3rd inning to overtake the  lead. South Mountain would continue to extend their lead throughout the game and push the score to 11-3 heading into the bottom of the 9th inning. The Artichokes would rally and score 3 runs, but eventually would fall by the final score of 11-6. This loss moves SCC to (17-19, 8-19) on the season with 14 games left in the season to climb back up the conference standings. Scottsdale will look for revenge on South Mountain as they go on the road Wednesday to take on the Cougars at 3:00 PM.
