The 14th ranked Scottsdale Community College Baseball team had a double-header match-up that did not go their way. Scottsdale would lose both games by the final scores of 8-3 and 8-4. In the first game of the day, Scottsdale and Yavapai were battling in a pitchers duel with the score tied 0-0 ending the 5th inning. Yavapai then erupted in the 6th inning scoring all 8 of their runs. SCC would attempt to make a rally, but only managed to score 3 runs eventually losing 8-3. In game two of the day, Scottsdale would race out to a 3-0 lead after the 1st inning, but Yavapai would slowly chip away at the lead and overtake the Artichokes 8-4. Scottsdale will look to bounce back as they go on the road on Saturday, March 12th to take on Arizona Western College for a double-header at 12:00 PM and 2:30 PM.
