The Scottsdale Community College Baseball team got back to their winning ways with a nice victory over nationally ranked Phoenix College. SCC and PC started the game on fire with PC scoring 4 runs early, and SCC scoring 6 runs early. The game was tied 6-6 heading into the 6th inning, and the Artichokes used that time to take the lead scoring 2 runs and 1 additional run in the 7th inning to take a 3 run lead. Scottsdale would end up winning the 9-inning contest by the final score of 9-6. Scottsdale was led by Tyler Kearney who finished the day going 3 for 4. Bransen Cosgrove had a monster of a day going 3 for 5 including 2 HR's and 4 RBI's. Scottsdale will now play at Phoenix College on Saturday at 12:00 PM for game-2 of their series.
