Tucson, AZ - The Scottsdale Fighting Artichokes men's basketball team defeated the Pima Aztecs Friday night, 90-69, to win the NJCAA Region I, Division II title.

Carson Kelly of SCC was named the Region Tournament MVP.

With the win, SCC earns an automatic bid to the NJCAA Div. II National Tournament. The tournament will be played in Danville, IL, from March 21-25.

The Fighting Artichokes will be the No. 11 seed in the tournament and will play against the No. 6 seed Orange County (NY) Colts on Wednesday, March 22nd, at 11:00 AM CT.
