Softball Wins Fourth Straight

The Scottsdale Community College softball team improved its winning streak to four games with a sweep of Mesa on Saturday.

Kristen Galloway and Adriana Armstrong (9-5) combined to shutout Mesa in game one, holding them to three hits in Scottsdale's 10-0 five inning win. Nina Slater went 3-for-3 with an RBI and three runs scored. Bailey Dominguez homered and went 2-for-3 with four RBI.

Scottsdale led game two throughout and held off a late MCC rally to win 10-8. Slater homered and went 2-for-3 with four RBI. Sydnee Levandowski went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Mackenzie Larson had two hits and scored three times. Armstrong (10-5) picked up her second win of the afternoon in relief of Isabelle Aguirre.

SCC is now 15-15 overall and 11-11 in the conference. They are in a tie for second in the ACCAC.

Up next will be a trip Yuma to face Division I Arizona Western. The first game of the doubleheader will begin at 12 p.m.
