Softball Secures Split at Central

The Scottsdale Community College softball team split a weekend doubleheader at Central Arizona this past Saturday.

SCC won the opener 4-1, scoring two runs in both the first and fifth innings. Adrian Armstrong (7-4) recorded her seventh win of the season, allowing no earned runs on seven hits over 7.0 innings. Sydnee Levandowski collected a pair of hits to pace the offense.

Scottsdale led 2-1 in the sixth inning of game two, but Central Arizona plated two runs in the bottom of the sixth to secure a 3-2 win. Isabelle Aguirre (2-6) went the distance, allowing three runs on six hits over 6.0 innings. Bailey Dominguez and Levandowski each had two hits, including a solo home run.

SCC remains on the road with a doubleheader at Paradise valley on Tuesday, March 26. The first game will begin at 12 p.m.
