Miscues Lead to Defeat at Gateway

The Scottsdale baseball team was done in by seven errors in an 11-1 loss at Gateway yesterday. The game was the second of two rescheduled postponements with the Geckos.

The Artichokes only managed five hits on the day, with two coming from Kyle Neefe. Tyler Child (0-1) started and took the loss, allowing seven unearned runs on six hits over 3.2 innings.

SCC's record now sits at 6-8 overall and 2-4 in the ACCAC.

Today they travel to Chandler-Gilbert for a 3 p.m. game with the Coyotes. The two will complete the series tomorrow at 12 p.m. at Scottsdale.
