The Scottsdale Community College Women's Basketball team secured an impressive road win tonight, defeating Division I Cochise College 64-60.

The win was the fourth in a row for SCC, improving their overall mark to 15-9 and 11-8 in the league. Cochise, who entered the game winners of 15 of their past 16 games, fell to 19-7 overall and 14-5 in the ACCAC.

Scottsdale dazzled in the opening 20 minutes, taking a 38-18 lead after two quarters. Cochise would climb back into the game and would get within 1 late in the fourth quarter. SCC would convert at the line and stack up some impressive stops to close out the contest.

Danay Williams led SCC with 19 points. Ashten Martinez added 14. She also collected a team-best 7 rebounds. 

SCC is in the final stretch of the regular season and will return to action on Saturday, February 24, when they will host South Mountain at 2 p.m. The game will celebrate Scottsdale's outgoing sophomore class.
