The Scottsdale Community College Baseball team fell 3-2 in 10 innings to Colorado Northwestern at home Monday afternoon.

The loss drops the Artichokes to 1-2 overall.

Tyler Child started for SCC, going 5.0 innings while allowing two runs (both earned) on five hits. He fanned seven. Ben Ruckman (0-1) was charged with loss, pitching 2.0 innings in relief. Artichoke pitchers recorded 18 strikeouts over the 10 innings.

Prince Deboskie and Chris Ricard each had two hits.

Scottsdale will be at home this Wednesday and Thursday, where they will host a pair of doubleheaders with the College of Southern Idaho. Both days the games will begin at 12 p.m. and approximately 2:30 p.m. for the second game. All games will be 7-inning affairs.
