The Scottsdale Community College Women's Basketball team returned to their winning ways with an 86-52 victory over Glendale tonight at SCC.

Scottsdale wasted no time securing the game, jumping out to a 29-8 lead after one quarter. The second quarter was played tightly with SCC leading 47-25 at the break. The Artichokes outscored the Gauchos by 14 in the third to lead 68-34 after three quarters.   

Makeylei Snyder led the Artichokes with 22 points, her second-highest scoring output of the season. Kristine Scabby added 13, her season best.

SCC improved to 8-4 overall, 4-3 in the ACCAC.

Scottsdale travels to Mesa this Saturday, Jan. 13 to face the Thunderbirds. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. It will be the first of two-straight meetings between the teams, with Mesa playing at SCC on Jan. 17.
