The No. 2 seed Scottsdale Volleyball team rallied past No. 7 Kirkwood (IA) tonight in the Quarterfinal round of the NJCAA Division II Volleyball Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

After dropping the first set 27-25, Scottsdale came back strong to win the second 25-18. Kirkwood had two set points at 24-22 in the third, but SCC would score the next four points to win the set 26-24. In the fourth and eventual deciding set, the two teams were knotted at 15-15. From there SCC would regain the lead and finish off a 25-21 set victory.

The win improved the Artichokes to 26-0 this season.

Up next for Scottsdale is a semifinal matchup with No. 3 seed Parkland (IL) at 3 p.m. (AZ time). It marks the second straight year the two sides have met in the national semifinals, with the Artichokes sweeping the Cobras 3-0 last season. Parkland enters the semifinals with a 45-4 record.
