Scottsdale Volleyball sophomore Macee Lesueur has earned ACCAC DII Defensive Player of the Week honors for the week of Oct. 8.

Lesueur registered 19 digs in the Artichokes' sweep over Mesa on Oct. 11 and then tallied 30 digs in the five-set marathon win over Glendale on Oct. 14. She also added 17 kills in the GCC match.

For Lesueur, it was her second selection of the season after being named ACCAC DII Offensive Player of the Week for Sept. 10.

The Artichokes will next be in action on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m., when Arizona Western visits Scottsdale. The Matadors are ranked No. 20 in NJCAA Division I. SCC has won three of the five previous contests between the two squads, dating back to the 2017 season.
