Artichokes Rally to Earn a Point at Eastern Arizona
The #11 Scottsdale women's soccer team rescued a point in their 4-4 draw at Eastern Arizona tonight.
The Artichokes trailed 4-2 before scoring two goals in the final minutes of the match. Brookie Fuentes got SCC within one goal with a penalty kick in the 88th minute. Shayla Hunt then equalized with a goal with just 21 seconds remaining.
Fuentes also had a goal in the 10th minute, while Izzi Parks scored in the 72nd minute.
Eastern Arizona held a pair of two goal leads during the match at 3-1 and 4-2, before the Artichokes rally.
SCC now stands at 10-3-2 overall and 7-1-2 in the ACCAC.
Up next for Scottsdale is trip to South Mountain on Saturday at 9 a.m.
