The Scottsdale men's and women's soccer programs both dropped contests at Arizona Western this past Saturday.

The #10 women's team suffered a 4-0 defeat to the Matadors, who are ranked No. 9 in NJCAA Division I. Arizona Western scored in the 13^th minute and the 34^th minute to own a 2-0 lead at the half. They would then add two late goals to close out the match. The loss drops the Artichokes to 10-3-1 overall and 7-1-1 in the ACCAC.

The men's team fell 3-0 to Arizona Western. They held the #2 Matadors to a 0-0 draw over the first 45 minutes of their match. Arizona Western would open the scoring in the 51^st minute and add goals in the 65' and 80'. The loss drops Scottsdale to 2-7-3 overall and 2-4-2 in the ACCAC.

Both the women and men's squads will next be in action on Tuesday, Oct. 10 when they travel to Eastern Arizona. The women's match begins at 4:30 p.m., with the men slated to start at 7 p.m. Both matches can be viewed via live stream at www.eacmonsters.com.
