Artichokes Blow Past Chandler-Gilbert; Remain Undefeated

In their fifth game in eleven days, the Fighting Artichokes improved to 7-0 (2-0) on the season to head into the Thanksgiving Holiday Break. After coming out of the gates trailing 17-12, Scottsdale used a 28-8 run between the last 2 minutes of the first half and the 3^rd quarter to take a 56-40 lead into the final stanza. Scottsdale would continue their run, finishing with a final score of 80-54. The Fighting Artichokes stymied the Coyotes in the 2^nd half, holding them to 22 points.

Scottsdale was again propelled by balanced scoring with 4 players finishing in double figures, including 3 double-doubles. Lael Bowser would finish with 16 points and 10 rebounds, Ashten Martinez with 15 points and 12 boards, and Halle Payne with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Alayna Benvaides-Johnson also contributed 16 points, 5 steals and 4 assists.

Scottsdale will return to action after the holiday break with an ACCAC contest on the road at South Mountain CC, tip slated for 5:30 pm.
