The Scottsdale Community College Baseball team got off to a great start by winning both games of their double-header with Benedictine University-Mesa JV. SCC and BenU had tight opening game, but Scottsdale still came through and won by the final score of 2-1. The Fighting Artichokes jumped all over the Redhawks in the second game of the day scoring 7 runs in the 1st inning and 3 runs in the 2nd inning. Scottsdale would eventually cruise to a 13-3 win in 7-innings. SCC will continue these non-conference match-ups for the next few weeks as they host Arizona Christian JV on Monday, January 31st at 3:00 PM. The Artichokes then host Northeastern Junior College on Thursday, February 3rd at 3:00 PM. Final stats and box score for today's games will be available shortly.
