#13 Aztecs Defeat Artichokes

The Scottsdale women's basketball team dropped a 67-53 decision to #13 Pima this afternoon in Tucson. The two will meet two more times in the regular season this year.

The loss dropped the Artichokes to 8-6 overall and 4-2 in the league.

Pima led today 14-7 after the first quarter that extended to 35-26 after a high-scoring second quarter. The Aztecs held a 14-point lead of 53-39 after three.

Vanessa Sepulveda led SCC with 17 points. Andrea Becerra had 14.

The road does not get easier as SCC will next face #8 Mesa on Saturday, January 18. Tipoff at MCC is scheduled for 2 p.m. Mesa defeated Scottsdale 57-46 on November 23.
