Strong Second Half Leads Women's Hoops

A strong second half propelled the Scottsdale women's basketball team to a 61-42 win over Glendale tonight at GCC.

SCC is now 8-5 overall and 4-1 in the conference.

Scottsdale led 15-9 after one quarter. They led by as many as seven in the second quarter and were up 27-22 at the break. The Artichokes outscored the Gauchos 18-7 in the third to take a 45-29 lead into the final 10 minutes.

Katy Frost and Vanessa Sepulveda each had 12 points. 

The Artichokes will next travel to Tucson this Saturday, January 11 to face Pima at 2 p.m. in the first of three meetings this season. The Aztecs were ranked #13 in the latest NJCAA national poll.
