Women's Hoops Downs D1 Salt Lake
The Scottsdale women's basketball team recorded an impressive win this afternoon, downing NJCAA Division I and 18th-ranked Salt Lake 56-51 at SCC.
The win evens the Artichokes record at 2-2 overall.
Today's game was close throughout with the game tied at 10-10 after one and SCC holding a slim 24-23 lead at the half. The Artichokes led 40-36 after three and built a double-digit lead late in the fourth quarter.
Vanessa Sepulveda led the Artichokes with 16 points, Saige Miller added 11.
Scottsdale will next open conference play when they host Mesa on Saturday, November 23 at 2 p.m. Mesa is currently ranked No. 9 in NJCAA Division II.
