#12 Women's Soccer Wins Fifth Straight
The #12 Scottsdale women's soccer team collected their fifth win in a row after downing Mesa 5-1 tonight at MCC.The win improved SCC to 5-2-1 overall and 5-2 in the ACCAC.
Shayla Hunt opened the scoring with a goal in the 15th minute.
Scottsdale would score four goals in the second half. Ava Fike scored in the 48th minute to give SCC a 2-0 lead. Raegan Hussey added a goal in the 63rd minute to make it 3-0. Just three minutes later Kaslee Roskelley increased the lead to 4-0.
Mesa got on the board in the 70th minute to cut the SCC lead back to three.
Scottsdale would add one more goal from Lulu McIntosh in the closing seconds to complete the victory.
SCC will next be in action on Tuesday, September 24 when they will travel to Tucson to face Pima at 8 p.m. The Aztecs defeated the Artichokes 2-1 on August 25 at SCC.
