Women's Basketball Returns to Winning Ways at Glendale

The Scottsdale women's basketball team rallied from a slow start to defeat Glendale 66-47 today at GCC.

The win improves the Artichokes to 17-10 overall 13-9 in the conference. The 13 conference wins equals the teams total from last season, with one conference game left in the season.

GCC started the game quickly, leading 16-7 after one quarter. SCC dominated the second quarter, outscoring the Gauchos 23-10 to lead 30-26 at the break. Scottsdale extended the lead to 48-34 after three quarters.

Scottsdale will travel to Central Arizona on Tuesday, March 5 to wrap up the 2023-24 season. Tipoff is 5:30 p.m. SCC has earned the No. 3 seed for the NJCAA Region I Tourney, which will begin on Thursday, March 7. They will play at either Mesa or Pima.
